George Melashvili chairman of Europe-Georgia Institute talked in the episode of TV journal “Droeba”, on “Formula TV”.

The episode analyzed the spontaneous protest movements. They erupt in different parts of the country and concentrate on particular problems. George Melashvili highlighted that these frequent demonstrations demonstrate the existence of the spirit of protest among the population. He talked about the importance of these protests for democracy. In his opinion, they are the reason why Georgia still retains the status of a democratic regime

George Melashvili also commented on the current economic situation. He stated that the Georgian economy is on “artificial respiration”. Melashvili said that the Georgian economy heavily relies on reserves and aids from partners.
